The best photos clearly show the whole face and whole hairstyle.

Good lighting is also very helpful to show accurate skin tone and details like freckles and beauty marks.

All the people in the portrait do not need to be in each photo. You can send your favorite photos of each person and pet separately or together.

If the portrait is a side view of a character it helps to send any side view photos you can even if it’s not your favorite photo. You can send a different photo for hairstyle and facial features than the side view photo.

If you don’t have a side view photo, it’s ok. We can work without it.

You can also send references you find on the internet. For example, you can send clothing or pose references or objects/props that you’d like to be holding. This is not required but it is helpful.

If you don’t have great photos, that’s ok. We’ll work with what you have. It just might take a few more rounds of revisions than normal to get to a perfect portrait.
